Welcome To SGBA

Small Business. Big Heart.

South Georgia Behavior Associates (SGBA) is a locally and clinician owned Behavior Analysis firm. We provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services to the South Georgia counties of Lowndes, Berrien, and Cook. Currently we are a small firm of two Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) who are passionate about their work in providing safe and compassionate treatment. Our focus is on building skills to reduce behaviors of concern, increasing functional communication, and caregiver support through collaboration.

We provide ABA therapy services for children ages 1-21 in the comfort of your home, or community setting as well as school-based support.

What to expect when you work with us?

We are a therapy company first, and a business second. We are client-centered in planning, providing resources, and in meeting your child where they are at.

Personalized Therapy

Every child possesses their own unique set of strengths, challenges and skills as well a specific way of processing, socializing and behaving. No one size treatment fits all. Our team works with each family to develop a customized care plan tailored to the individual needs of their child and family culture.

Family Focus

We believe in whole family involvement and including the family in the therapy process. Caretakers and family are critical to producing and maintaining meaningful outcomes. By applying our therapy program(s), caretakers and families are able to support their children to achieve the highest levels of success.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Behavior Analysis, also known as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), is the scientific study of the principles of learning and behavior. ABA changes the environment and teaches skills to change behavior.

Behavior analysis focuses on improving specific behaviors, such as social skills, communication, adaptive learning skills, fine/gross motor skills, and daily living skills (hygiene, grooming, domestic capabilities) in learners in developmental disabilities and autism. However, Behavior Analysis is effective for anyone who would like to increase or decrease a socially significant behavior and has been shown to significantly improve behaviors and skills.
